Coalport
Manufactured: 1796 to present day
Founded at Coalport, Shropshire in 1796 by John Rose. The factory moved to Staffordshire in 1926. "Coalbrookdale Porcelain” was used sometimes as a trade description and a mark because the factory was located at Coalbrookdale. Its bone china was very popular and high-quality and elaborate pieces continue to be made. The brand is now part of the Wedgewood group
Early pre-1805 porcelains were unmarked and marks were rarely used before 1820
