Founded at Coalport, Shropshire in 1796 by John Rose The factory moved to Staffordshire in 1926 "Coalbrookdale Porcelain”
was used sometimes as a trade description and a mark because the
factory was located at Coalbrookdale Its
bone china was very popular and high-quality and elaborate pieces
continue to be made The brand is now part of the Wedgewood group
Early pre-1805 porcelains were unmarked and marks were rarely used before
1820
